# How long do I need to use my hair loss prescription?

In order to maximize the effectiveness of your treatment, you will need to continue to use your prescription as directed until your doctor determines if the frequency can be adjusted. How often you need to use it and if you can reduce the number of applications is specific to your body and how it responds to treatment. Hair restoration prescriptions are not a cure for hair loss so if you stop using them, your hair loss may resume within a few months.
